Fact 2

I’m not normally a superstitious person, but I’ve noticed that there are a few things I do enough that they could be considered superstitions:

  • When I pick up my copy of Salt Lake City Weekly, doesn’t matter where I get it, I can’t take the copy on the top of the pile - it has to be the second from the top. If there’s only one, I won’t take it.
  • In a public restroom, I’ll use three paper towels - no more, no less - to dry my hands.
  • It doesn’t matter where I’ve worked, I’ve always had a Fender guitar pick taped to the corner of my computer display.
  • I can’t leave the house without padding myself down, to make sure I have my wallet, keys, and cell phone. Even if I’m holding my keys in my hand, I’ll still check the pocket where I normally keep them.
